Researchers at Germany's University of Ulm discovered a hole that could allow a hacker to snoop or access calendars and contact data from an Android smartphone when connected to an unencrypted Wi-Fi network. Google spokesman said in a statement, "Today we're starting to roll out a fix which addresses a potential security flaw that could, under certain circumstances, allow a third-party access to data available in Calendar and Contacts,this fix requires no action from users and will roll out globally over the next few days." New versions of android, 2.3.4 for smartphones and 3.0 for tablets are not affected by the issue, but the fact remains that almost 99 percent of Android users are still using the older versions.  The problem exists on Google servers so it will will not be remedied by traditional software updates, likewise Android users wont have to take any actions on their smartphones to fix the issue.

HTC's new phone named HTC Sensation, previously named HTC pyramid is equipped with dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor and Android Gingerbread (2.3) with HTC sense 3.0, screen size is 4.3 inches (540x960 screen resolution) compared to Galaxy S2 who has only 480x800 resolution with the same screen size,the phone has a Super LCD screen. The device is 4g capable which promises download speed as fast as 14Mbps, thats a good news considering Globe and Smart already has a 4G implementation in the country.  Likewise, the screen is a gorilla glass which protects screen from scratches especially if your're used to putting your phone face down.  The phone comes with an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash.
